About Me

Hi! My name is Fay and I am a certified Break up, Separation and Divorce Coach.

I have lived and worked in Burton and the surrounding areas all of my life and have 2 children whom I adore!!

I studied for my certification under Sara Davison, who is the leading expert of break up, separation and divorce in the UK (if not the world!!).  I want to share all the skills and knowledge I have gained, help people gain control of their lives and find the happiness that they deserve.

My Beliefs

I believe that everyone has the right to feel positive, be happy and live the life that they have always wanted.

Going through a break-up, separation and divorce is one of the most stressful and painful things you can go through.

Everyone experiences a breakup differently and will struggle with different things and different emotions at different times.  It can seem like an uphill struggle, especially if you can’t see things getting any better or feel you have taken a step back.



I met Fay at a local networking event I felt an instant warmth around her.

After 3 failed marriages and a break up with a long term partner, I decided I needed to understand what was happening and how I could feel good about myself again, in the hope one day I could forgive myself and others and start to love myself again.

My Journey to Feel Positive Coaching

I wanted to share a little of my story with you, how I came through 2 failed marriages and both physical and mental challenges to become the driven, confident and positive person that I am today.

Two years ago, I found myself single for the second time in my life, to say I was surprised was an understatement. I had two children, one from each of my marriages and had no idea what I was going to do or how I was going to do it.

My life had once again imploded. All the memories and feelings from my first marriage breakdown came flooding back and I’m not ashamed to say that it nearly broke me.

I wondered whether I could carry on. I had no self-worth and no confidence. I had dealt with infidelity, narcissism and abuse. I was suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, which was later diagnosed as PTSD. I was a complete shell and was just existing on a basic level – all my feelings had just shut down. I loved my children and that was it.

Things turned around for me when I made the decision that I was not going to let this beat me. I was going to do all that I could to move forward. Even if it meant just being a mum to my children and going to work (I was and still am a part time primary school teacher).

I sought help for my mental health issues through a counsellor (break up and separation practitioners didn’t exist where I lived). I was able to work though my feelings and get clarity on my situation.

I moved to a new house which was the best thing that I ever did. It allowed me to have a complete fresh start.

I also booked myself on a yoga retreat in Mallorca which was a big turning point, I felt free for the first time in my life and I have never looked back. Travel and Yoga are now a big part of my life.

Not long after, I was invited to train under Sara Davison, who is the Uk’s leading Breakup, Separation and Divorce Practitioner in the UK (if not the world!). I am now part of a small group of divorce practitioners all over the country

I am passionate about helping people through their breakup and can tailor make programmes to suit individual clients. Through exercise and meditation, mind exercises and techniques, strategies to move forward, target setting, listening and above all walking along side them as they climb their own mountain.

I also help people who are struggling with chronic illness, low self-esteem, confidence, anxiety and trauma. As well as dating!!

Mental health is such a buzz word now. I am a great believer that looking after your mental health is as important as looking after your physical health. If one is not working, the other suffers.

The Feel Positive ethos is all about being the best person you can be and living the life that you want and deserve.

Going through a breakup, separation or divorce is not the end. It’s the start of something new and an exciting time to design the life that you want!

Setting up Feel Positive has been a huge learning curve and an absolute joy, to be able to do something that I love and to give back to others is very empowering and humbling at the same time.

From someone who didn’t have a technical bone in her body to someone who tweets, posts on Instagram, Facebook and writes blogs has been a revelation.

I feel very blessed and see my life challenges as a huge learning process to get me to where I am today.

Coaching verses Counselling

Coaching and Counselling are often put together in the same box and people will say “I don’t need a coach because I have a counsellor.”

However, even though they both share similarities, they are very different.

Counselling helps people with issues like human development, sexuality, family dynamics, past traumas and mental health conditions through active listening and skills such as open and closed questioning and empathy. Counselling enables the client to recognise and find the solution to their problems in order to gain clarity and solve them.

Coaching tends to focus on the present and future rather then the past. Coaches help people to deal with any obstacles they are currently facing and to move forward by identifying their goals through a series of motivational exercises and discussions.

Coaching provides both guidance and support and places a greater emphasis on accountability, by helping people to make positive changes to their life quicker than if they were doing it on their own.
