Connections, Conversations and Climbing a Mountain
My month has been busy with a capital ‘B’!!
I have networked like a mad women and met and connected with so many inspiring and friendly people who run their own businesses.
People who are passionate about what they do, people who want to be successful, people who are committed to working hard and people are willing to share and give advice.
We all have one thing in common, to make a difference and to grow our businesses to their fullest potential.
I have learned over the past few months that this takes time, dedication and hard work. At times you think ….”Is what I’m doing making a difference because things haven’t changed?”
I was at that stage, wondering “What else do I have to do in order to start moving forward?”
I decided that I was going to carry on, trust in myself and trust in the process. The shift was small to begin with and then things started to happen. My phone started ringing and my inbox started beeping. I was having conversations with potential clients and I was asked to tell my story about my journey to Feel Positive Coaching to a group of inspiring ladies.
I made a connection and had a meeting with a business women who works tirelessly and runs a charity for people and families who are in crisis in my local area.
I have gained new clients and I am helping them to start their journey to recovery.
On top of all that, I’ve been a mum, teacher, student, colleague, daughter and friend.
It’s hard sometimes to keep all the plates spinning without dropping one and if you think about it too much, it can be overwhelming.
In life and relationships, everyone is keeping their own plates spinning. Sometimes you have to find the will, stamina and strength to stop them from falling.
When your going through a challenging time, you wonder whether you can carry on, but ….. you do.
When your out the other end you can then sit back and feel proud that you did it!!
What drives me? That’s a good question and all I can say is that I want to make my children proud, I want to make a difference and help someone who has been where I have been. Sometimes things find you and it becomes a big part of your life.
I heard a quote today and it was from a successful business women who had been told this by a women sherpa when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
“Don’t stop when it hurts, stop when its done!”
I am going to use this (even if I never get to climb a mountain) when I feel that things have come to a standstill.
“I feel so blessed to be so many things to so many people.
